Issues

It is often helpful to view the issue (sometimes described as an health issue) as the starting point, initial problem, or the reason for investigating the need for a project.

The description of the initial issue is likely to change following an investigation that should involve consultation with appropriate people and stakeholder groups.

Examples of an issue are varied:
  • High incidence of diabetes in XXX catchment
  • Increasing numbers of young people presenting with symptoms of depression
  • Complaints about young people “loitering” in local carparks

This template should include a brief summary of the general issue. What you document here will be automatically transferred to the needs assessment page where you can include more detail.
